What began as a single sensory room built for our best friend with autism has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
Today, The Perception Foundation is the world's largest youth-led nonprofit dedicated to neurodiversity inclusion and mental health advocacy, reaching more than 500,000 people across 34+ countries.
But our mission has never been about numbers.
It has always been about creating a world where every person—regardless of neurological differences or mental health challenges—has the opportunity to belong, thrive, and be understood.
At The Perception Foundation, students don't simply join an organization. They become leaders.
Our student leaders design and construct sensory spaces for schools and community organizations. They advocate for policy change at local, national, and international levels. They organize educational campaigns, build partnerships, and create tangible impact in their communities.
Most importantly, they learn how to turn ideas into action.
The results speak for themselves. Our student leaders have gone on to:
Earn admission to institutions including Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, and other top universities
Speak at the United Nations
Deliver TEDx Talks
Receive prestigious honors such as Regeneron ISEF awards, RSI admission, Coca-Cola Scholarships, and the Princeton Prize in Race Relations
Be featured by Forbes, CBS, ABC News, FOX News, and other major media outlets
These achievements are not the goal of our work—but they demonstrate what becomes possible when young people are empowered to lead meaningful change.
Now, we are entering our next phase of global growth.
We are officially opening applications for new International Country Presidents.
As a Country President, you will lead The Perception Foundation's efforts within your nation, helping establish programs, recruit student leaders, launch initiatives, and expand access to neurodiversity and mental health support in your community.
We are looking for students who are:
Passionate about creating positive social change
Committed to inclusion, accessibility, and mental health advocacy
Excited to lead and collaborate with others
Ready to build something meaningful in their communities
No matter where you live, your leadership has the power to create lasting impact.
If you believe every person deserves to be understood, supported, and included, we encourage you to apply.
Applications close on June 8 at 11:59 PM ET.
Read the requirements and submit your application here: https://www.perceptionfoundation.com/contact-8
The next chapter of The Perception Foundation will be written by student leaders around the world.
We hope you'll be one of them.
