The Perception Foundation is proud to announce the expansion of our sensory-friendly events into more active and recreational experiences. While our events have traditionally taken place in controlled environments like community centers, we recognized that many individuals are often excluded from holiday celebrations, recreational activities, and sports due to sensory sensitivities.
To address this, we are now hosting sensory-friendly pool parties, volleyball games, and other active events. These experiences allow participants to enjoy movement, exercise, and community engagement in environments that are carefully designed to be inclusive, supportive, and accommodating of neurodiverse needs.
By making sensory-friendly events more dynamic and interactive, we aim to increase awareness of neurodevelopmental differences, foster social connection, and ensure that individuals of all abilities can participate in everyday activities without fear of overstimulation or exclusion. This transition reflects our commitment to breaking barriers and creating spaces where everyone can belong.
