Big news from the Perception Foundation!
Our incredible founders, Maya and Lara Hammoud, have been named Finalists for the Young Women of the Year Award by the Women Changing the World Awards, an organization founded by Sarah, Duchess of York.
The Women Changing the World Awards spotlight the most impactful female leaders across the globe, recognizing innovators, advocates, and changemakers shaping a better future for all. This year, Maya and Lara were recognized among the Top 5 Young Women in all the Americas (North, Central, South, Latin, and the Caribbean), a huge honor and testament to their work building the world’s largest youth-led nonprofit for neurodiversity awareness and inclusion. 🌍💙
This November, they will attend the Women Changing the World Awards Ceremony, where one of the finalists will be crowned Young Woman of the Year.
Regardless of the results, we couldn’t be prouder of our founders and everything they have done to champion inclusion, empathy, and innovation on a global scale. Their leadership continues to inspire our 95+ chapters around the world, proving that young voices can truly change the world.
Stay tuned for updates from the awards this November, and join us in cheering on our girls as they represent the Perception community on the global stage!
