The founders of The Perception Foundation, Maya and Lara Hammoud, have been recognized for their groundbreaking research on neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) and potential therapies with nominations and inductions into some of the nation’s most prestigious scientific organizations.
They were inducted into Sigma Xi, the oldest and most prestigious research honor society—an organization that included luminaries such as Albert Einstein.
They were also inducted into the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) and invited to present their research at the AJAS and the American Academy for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) conferences.
These honors recognize Maya and Lara’s exceptional contributions to science, their dedication to advancing understanding and therapies for NDDs, and their role as young leaders in research and innovation. Their work continues to inspire both the scientific community and the next generation of neurodiversity advocates.
