At The Perception Foundation, our mission has always been rooted in one simple belief: everyone deserves access to spaces that support regulation, calm, and belonging. When we first launched, we focused on creating private sensory rooms in schools, clinics, and community centers—quiet, supportive environments designed to meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals and those experiencing sensory overwhelm.
Today, we’re thrilled to share the next step in our journey: building public sensory rooms. By moving beyond private installations, we aim to create inclusive spaces in libraries, airports, stadiums, and other public settings—places where regulation and accessibility are often overlooked, yet deeply needed.
This shift reflects our core vision: sensory support should not be a privilege but a public resource. Whether for a child who needs a calming corner before rejoining class, a traveler who feels overstimulated in a crowded terminal, or anyone seeking a moment of respite, public sensory rooms can offer a lifeline.
We’re proud to lead this movement and invite communities, partners, and advocates to join us in making the world more accessible, one sensory space at a time.
