Sensory rooms have traditionally been associated with supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). At The Perception Foundation, we’ve learned that these spaces can benefit everyone—from those with trauma or mental health conditions to individuals with intellectual disabilities and more.
That’s why we’re expanding our mission to build sensory rooms in local city community centers. These spaces will serve diverse populations, providing safe, calming, and supportive environments where anyone can regulate, recharge, and feel included.
Sensory rooms are not just specialized tools—they are vital community resources. By making them accessible to all, we aim to foster inclusion, well-being, and connection across our cities.
